Started as simply filming myself rapping for quick Instagram videos but my interest in creating different kinds of videos has expanded far beyond that. I am very interested in documenting events and times as a way of immortalizing them but also in comedy and what it takes to write and produce a funny video

Summertime Art Gallery and Studio

I had the extreme pleasure of working at the Summertime Gallery this past summer as a studio facilitator and intern. Most of my time was spent helping artist realize their goals and visions for their work, but when I wasn’t in the studio, I was doing side projects for the amazing directors.

The side project that lead me to animation was the gallery installation that Summertime was creating for the extremely talented artist, Aurie Ramirez, who does her work at Creative Growth, in LA. I was tasked with creating promo videos for the exhibit, and was given scans of Aurie’s work to animate.

Started animating because I told my employer I knew how to, despite never having opened Adobe After Effects in my life. I knew that if I spent all night watching youtube videos and playing with the software I’d be able to figure something out, even if I did have to restart 4 times.
